Mentor saves money and improves claims processing. The system automates processing and ‘straight through processing’ can be increased significantly, because knowledge and judicial practice is accumulated, formalised and used in each case.

The secret sauce

The secret is the way we harvest and structure knowledge. The knowledge base is fully transparent and humanly readable and can for example be controlled for bias. 

Knowledge is now stored in the knowledge base, shared and the company becomes less dependent on key staff. 

Flexibility

Each claims processing outcome is accompanied by the relevant explanations and references to law and judicial practice showing that the outcome is correct. The explanation can be used dialogue with the client as well as in formal justification. ‘Explainability’ is by design and will be a good basis for satisfying the upcoming EU AI-act. 

Mentor’s knowledge base is built and maintained by the users. Proposals for new rules are evaluated centrally by the knowledge governance board and defined in the system when practice and law change. It takes a few minutes to add a new rule to Mentor.
